FSE 100 Final Design Project

This was a semester long project where we applied the basic engineering processes that we learned during the lecture part of the class. From this project we demonstrated an understanding of the importance of stakeholders, consumer centered design, design documentation and various technical skills dealing with MATLAB, C++ code, gearboxes, motors and circuitry. Due to the time constraints, limited resources and only the basics of skills, the project was considered a prototype and a basis for design. Our design wasn't pretty, but we were extremely proud of it. The problem we were trying to solve was for a large tourist city. The city needed a greener form of transportation that would suffice the demands of 3 stakeholders and the criteria developed from stakeholder interviews is what lead us to our final design. At the end of the semester we won awards for best overall design, safest design and an award for our accuracy.
