Circuits 1 Final Design Project

The purpose of this project was to design a circuit that could be used as a portable Solar Panel Power Meter. The issue was that the supposed technicians had old, large equipment that was not easy to transport around. We were only tasked with designing the electrical components of the device, hence why it was acceptable for our circuit to seem large. Our intent was to clearly show the circuitry in order for others to understand how the design was put together. There was an Arduino unit that we used as the main computer board, which housed all of the code we constructed for this project, along with smaller devices like an Op-Amp, capacitors, resistors, an LED display and a potentiometer. There were larger circuit concepts, including a voltage divider, in play with this design as well. Ultimately, what we found was that working with discrete devices is always fragile, but our design was successful, looked neat and was organized for the consumer so they could understand the reasoning behind the design, thus our goal was achieved.
